NRCCS was just awarded a 350.00 grant from Livewell Colorado to purchase beacons for student instruction. This all started when Coach Raper and Mr. LaChance attended the Avalanche I course last February and realized that snow science and proper beacon use could be an amazing learning experience for our students. So with the funds of 350.00 it is enough to purchase one set(beacon,pole,shovel) and we are looking for more. So if you have a beacon that you would like to donate to the school or would like to be a part of the beacon instruction, contact Coach Raper or Mr. LaChance.
